I have to say this, the coaching staff gets an F. You cannot play off the screener in the SEC. Ole Miss scored the majority of their points on open looks because UGA was six or seven feet off of the screens. I watched Ole Miss all season and they are not that good of a shooting team. But we were not challenging any of those shots. The staff needs Jocelyn Faison are a forward guarding McMahon. Dani Carnegie wore herself out guarding McMahon who weighs almost a hundred pounds more. Coach Abe needs to wake up, the SEC is as tough as the WNBA. If she doesn't make some fast changes soon, we might be looking for a new coach.

Not a good look for the start of the SEC. Hope it wakes the team up. Couldn't pass, couldn't make a layup, couldn't defend in the second half. Carnegie and Ndour were the only two to play like they wanted it. Ole Miss is tough at home, but we hurt ourselves more than we should have.

At least, we get a chance to avenge this loss in a couple of weeks. Have to shake it off and move on to the next one.

Caejal44, the first thing you have to do is analyze your players. Mia can't play defense without fouling. So you might want to start Zhen Craft who is an outstanding defensive player. You have to have more size at small forward, so you look at Jocelyn Faison. Trinity is trying to score every time she brings the ball up, Coach Abe needs to bring Aubrey Beckham in an use her as much as possible. It wouldn't hurt to press some, you have to use a lot of players. Ole Miss is nowhere near being one of the best teams in the SEC. We are not paying Coach Abe to beat up on a weak non conference schedule. 14 and 0 playing a lackluster schedule will not get you in the NCAAs. UGA is going to have to win at least 8 games to be in the conversation for the tournament. This is definitely Coach Abe evaluation year. If we don't beat Texas A and M Sunday, we can be 0 and 5 when we play Ole Miss the second time. Could be another disastrous year in the SEC.

Hopefully, they take this as a difficult lesson and grow from it. I doubt many teams will make it through the SEC without a loss like this. We didn't play as a team, but I have faith the talent is there to compete. Just need the maturity.
