I went to the Lady Dawgs banquet Tuesday night. Spent a lot of time talking with players and coaches. You should join up with our support group if that kind of access suits you. I had a blast spending time with the team and staff. I had a hard time falling to sleep that night because I was so happy I went.
Savannah Henderson told me she has three years of eligibly left to play. Said she was already practicing lightly and thought she would be fully released in about three more weeks.
The twins were very home sick. I found out their father died shortly after they arrived in Athens. It was very hard for them to be so far away from Michigan. And their grandfather recently had a stroke. They want to play much closer to home.
Trinity Turner, Asia Avinger, Savannah Henderson, Miyah Verse, De'Mauri Flourney, Roxanne Makolo and Mia Woolfolk were the seven players who attended.
Mia thinks she really doesn't need to wear the knee brace but our trainers insist on it.
Flournoy has a job working in the Tennessee athletic department for next year. She wants to eventually be an athletic director. She got some good natured booing for that announcement. :-)
Asia wants to be a coach one day. She said if De'Mauri got to be an athletic director, she could hire her as her first head coach.
Trinity Turner and Mia Woolfolk really want to be two of the best players in the country. I told Mia she would have to stop fouling so much to do that. Mia and Miyah promised they would stop fouling next year.

That's awesome! I am glad optimism is high with the remaining players. It must be hard mentally and emotionally to go through such a tough season.

Leveretter doesn't seem to be around much. She wasn't pictured in the workout photos. I wonder if she's transferring as well.

Hope so, she doesn't seem interested in becoming a serviceable player. More interested in being on social media instead of developing some sort of game. I see why she averages 1.9 pts for her career.

You have to be put in the game instead of left on the bench to be a "serviceable" player.

Thanks Dawg44... Tuesday night was lots of fun. We had 68 fans, 7 players and entire coaching staff attend. We are all about supporting our team and coaching staff. If you would like to be on email list for future events, and Lady Dog"g" merchandise, please send me your email address.

True, but why aren't you being put in the game? Coaches know who can help them on the court

Coaches often redshirt players for their own reasoning. Nothing a player can do about that.

Coaches redshirt players for different reasons. Isn't always a player performance thing and there's nothing a player can do about that. A player can't be expected to stop living because of their coach's decision.

I agree with you in general but I wonder about this particular player when I see the same things in different places. At Kentucky she really didn't do much, after awhile I can't keep blaming the places. I have the blame the person
