Jocelyn Faisons Langston Hughes team blew a 14 point lead in the second half to River Ridge by a final score of 52 to 47. I didn't understand Langston Hughes Coach decision to spread out River Ridge with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter when you were winning 45 to 33. It backfired because Langston only scored 2 points the final seven minutes.
Let me tell you how Jocelyn played. Her teammate Makayla Taylor who is going to Tech hasn't played the last 2 months. Jocelyn guarded River Ridge best post player and she could did not score on Jocelyn the whole night. Jocelyn time and time again rebounded the ball and took off and made great bounce passes to her teammates for easy layups. She played an outstanding all around game. At one time she was on Finley Parker and she could not score on Jocelyn. Coach Abe was at the game and I know she is saying we have a great one in the future. I can't wait for this freshman class to enroll at UGA.

I watched this game as well. I was also impressed with her defense. Her length bothered every player she guarded, which will be great in our zone.

Her passing was also impressive to me. She passes where the player needs to be. For some reason, her all-around skill on both sides reminds me of Shacobia Barbee because she was everywhere on the court impacting the game, but she is more of a finesse player than Barbee was.

Caejal44, also in high school she is playing out of position. She can handle the ball very well and she will get a chance to move around the perimeter as well as play small forward. At UGA she will get more opportunities to develop her face up jumper. I am hoping that Coach Abe uses Jocelyn, Zhen, Trinity, Mia, Aubrey, Harissoum and the Twins more in a switching defense. When you zone, you give up a lot of second shots. All great teams play man defense. I think with this class we will have that.

Watching the NC State game against Duke, I finally figured out who Jocelyn Faison reminds me of. It is Saniya Rivers, they both are built similar and they play a lot alike. They both can play point guard, outstanding passers on offense, outstanding defensive players, can shoot the three and are outstanding leaders. I think Jocelyn will start as a true freshman at the wing.
