With a 9 point lead, I was saying that we would win by one or lose by one. It is the way we have been playing and it is sure good to get back into the win column. Mia Woolfolk with 16, Trinity with 12, Makolo with 10 Flournoy 8 and Asia with the clinching free throw. Asia ended up with 4 points. We are playing hard.

It was fun being there watching in person.

I saw Coach Abe press conference and she talked about the post player Vera Ojenuwa from Arkansas. Coach Abe said that she recruited her and that she chose Arkansas over UGA. I wondered why Fatima Diakhate went after her hard, I mean they were about to throw blows at each other early in the game. I had not seen Fatima do that in any game. I don't know if our players took it personal or not, but it was physical. Ojenuwa is 6'4" and athletic. She also hit a three which tells me she can be special in the end.
I re-watch the game and the Announcers said that we only had one senior. Will someone who knows our players classifications put on the message board the eligibility of the players for next year. Thanks in advance.

This is the current classifications. TV announcers are macho talkers. They usually have no clue. Looks like we have four seniors.

Thanks Dawg44, you confirmed what I was thinking. Flournoy, Makolo, Avinger and Leveretter. This April will be interesting for us to see if Coach Abe tries to add some experience on the perimeter.

Would Avinger and/or Flournoy comeback for 5th years? Or would we even want them back considering the talent coming in

Great questions. I have no clue if they even have that option? I'm sure we would take them back if they wanted to play again. One is our best three point shooter. The other is our best defensive player and is always guarding the best player on the other team.

I think Avinger may have a Covid year option if she chooses. Her first year season was 2020-2021, but she had to redshirt that year, so I am not sure if she can or not.

I also believe Leveretter can come back as well.

Unless the rules change, Flournoy and Makolo will be done. I also think I heard Coach Abe mention this was Avinger's last year in the preseason but I could be mistaken.

I always have to start my post with freshmen get a pass.

I finally watch the Arkansas game on demand. I mainly watch games they win. Rarely watch games they lose.

Fatima is going to have to get tougher. Especially in the SEC. There were times the guards missed her posting up.

Glad to see Mia taking the mid range shot. Imagine her with a three point shot. I am getting ahead of myself. I noticed a game time adjustment she made. She put up some shots faster. Teams are doubling her now so she has to be quicker with her decision making.

Verse needs a mid range shot. I expect her to have one next year.

That was the best game I have seen Roxane play. She was great on defense and hit some shots.

De'Mauri has been shooting the 3 very well. She did not turn the ball over as much but when she does, its bad turnovers.

Saw major improvement with Trinity. She backed it out when the numbers were not there. Her shot is starting to come back after hitting the SEC wall.

Glad to see Summer finally see a shot fall. Shooters have to keep shooting.
