I watched Zhen and her teammates win a big game last night. Bishop McNamara played Bishop Ireton in Virginia. Ireton has Nyla Brooks and she is very good, but they lost their 2nd game to McNamara 62 to 54.
Zhen Craft is a special player in her own way. She doesn't score 20 points a game, but she does every little thing to lead McNamara. She is a phenomenal athlete who can run and jump with the best of them. Knows how to guard without fouling. She is 6'2" and she blocks shots like she is 6'6". She is constantly talking to her teammates on what to do and playing together. She is the ultimate team player.
Coach Abe is definitely going to love her, she can play man defense on any position.
The All Star games always have the best scorers, never the best defenders. I think we are getting the best all around player in the country. We will definitely be better and if we can add a couple of more talented players in the 26 class, we will make a big jump in the SEC. And then comes the 27 class with Finley Parker. Sign her with the addition of a good 26 class, and I can see a final four.
