Putin isn't an idiot. He knows exactly what he is doing. You don't get to where he is being an idiot.

One tends to see the similarities of what is happening now. Compare this to what happened to Europe in the late 1930's. The evil empire in Germany was discounted at THAT time as well. And we see where that lead. Putin is merely copying the actions of that period of time, while reinstating the Soviet Union in the process!
