I just saw the news a few minutes ago. I had no idea he was sick. It is very sad as he was quite young. RIP.

Dies of colon cancer at 43. My mother died of colon cancer at 64. Go get your colonoscopies, folks. Especially those over 50, or even younger if you have a family history of the disease.

Yes sir...you are absolutely correct about the need to get a colonoscopy. It's very simple and easy, pretty quick. The colon prep is truly not as bad as some make it out to be. Trick is to lay off of major, heavy food for the day before.
I used to work in an endoscopy clinic and involved in thousands of them. The fastest, easiest way to rid yourself of potentially cancerous polyps and lesions.
Another thing, nothing beats an actual colonoscopy. The tests where they have you send in samples are not 100% accurate. Besides, even if they do indicate an abnormality, you still have to get scoped.

Was it known publicly that he was ill?
It was not. He kept it very quiet. Was diagnosed 2 years before Black Panther came out.

He posted a video in support of one of the causes he's involved with earlier this year where it was obvious he had lost a ton of weight. Fans were concerned but thought he might be losing weight for a role. His camp wasn't saying anything which in retrospect was a dig it wasn't for a film. So sad to see.
