Cool man appreciate the civil conversation.
Accusing (indirectly *wink wink*) someone of being racist is a little past the line of "civil conversation" in my book.

Wow, completely missing the point altogether. None if this has to so with racism or races - the reaaon we are where we are today is bc of people turning something that isn't, and trying to make it something that is.

I never called you or insinuated any of that where did that come from? I was talking about a flag I never said anything about race.

Calling a person a racist - someone you don't know, have never met, and have very little context of what they do, believe, or who they are - yeah, that's wrong. That is contributing to the problem - not helping. That's below the belt.
He doesn't agree with your beliefs on what is the best way to handle a situation - a situation in which you both are fine with the same end result - so you call him a racist.

You insinuated heavily I was a racist.

Then you said, I wasn't but that I want black athletes to shut up and play sports.

Then you did in fact call me a racist. Which is what you really meant the entire time.

Again, you are part of the problem.

Regardless, the Mississippi state flag is gone soon. Both Walmart and the Mississippi Baptist convention said it had to go. Those places are #'s 1 and 2 in that state. The order sometimes changes I'm guessing.

I assume nothing offends you, correct? And you are in a position to decide what offends others?

Clearly if these kids were offended by the symbols they are fighting against now when they committed they wouldn't have committed. Whether they are truly offended or not is simply not for others to decide. They have a platform (given to them by us, the fans and alumni) and are choosing to use it.

I too am not a huge fan of "holding the school hostage," but how someone chooses to use their platform is for them to decide.

This is what I love.

Literally nothing I said was about that.

Let's use the current situation, and feel free to correct me where I am wrong or provide information I do not know.

Kylin HIll

  • From Columbus Mississippi
  • 4 Star recruit with offers from Texas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State University, Memphis, Tennessee, Nebraska, Oregon State, and UAB according to ESPN.
  • Kylin Hill choose to stay in Mississippi and attend Mississippi State University.
  • Played 3 seasons at Mississippi State University.

Kylin Hill, has not to my knowledge, ever made any complaint about the state flag of Mississippi known before this.

IF Kylin Hill has been offended, feels oppressed, or whatever the case may be by the Mississippi State flag why did he:

  • Stay to play football in the state of Mississippi and go to Mississippi State University;
  • Stay at Mississippi State University for 3 years; and
  • has not entered the transfer portal to leave the state (previously... not just now... this has been a problem right)?

So looks like it wan't a huge problem until.... now. Further, I can't believe I'm explaining this but Mississippi State University has nothing to do with the State's flag. So he is saying he will back out of his agreement with Mississippi State University over something (i) he knew going there, (ii) has known for the 3 years he's been there, and (iii) the school has no power over.

Interesting.

To answer your question though, no I have never made a decision to subject myself to something I was this deeply offended by. Considering I do have the choice, I've always chose not to. I wouldn't choose to move to China and then complain about communism.

If this were, for example, slavery in early America and he did not have any choice.... well that's completely different isn't it?

Again, facts and circumstances matter.

Man, you're fooling nobody but yourself but I would guess that isn't that hard. Every thing you say, in every post I've read in the past week or so it blatantly racist. Let's start and end with (since nothing anyone says, except Trump, is going to sway you) the idea that black athletes would have spoken up sooner if they were really bothered by racist flags, symbols, etc--including Kylin Hill. Am I to believe that he would have been treated differently than Colin Kaepernick--by you and other white racist if he had simply spoken up. Every decision a black athlete makes in his life is decided in the face of ubiquitous racism. So, you're suggesting he should have cried out and receive the "fair" treatment that Colin received. And then, to avoid the hatred and disrespect shown by Confederate symbols in Mississippi, he should have fled instead to where? Alabama? Georgia, my home state still saturated by racism? maybe South Carolina or Tennessee. And even if he found a utopic State, which does not exist, its your opinion that he should have left home, family, friends in search of a justice that your type have no intent to provide? Native Americans, who I'm sure you also despise given their other than snowy white countenance, will not leave the Reservations to get Covid treatment and will die on the Reservation untreated to avoid leaving the only ones they trust. Your type are not part of the problem, they are THE problem. You're lost, nobody can help you but people have had enough. Why are people of color and whites like myself demanding change now? Because it may at this moment be possible and, unfortunately for you, it is likely.
