Lots of chatter about national guard forcing a shelter in place beginning Monday. Few former state senators up here in NC talking about it on FB.

Anyone live near a base?

Retired military; current LEO; Bragg sits on part of our county. Haven't heard anything like that yet. Some here are current Air Force reserves.

I'm retired but my wife is still active duty. National Guard call ups are happening in some states. They aren't being called up by the national command authority but by governors. They are working for the state authority, meaning they aren't federalized. From what I have seen they are being used in a humanitarian role.

My wife is a base commander in Montana. Her intel is pretty dang good. There are no plans for martial law right now.

Currently stationed at Lejeune. Normal business for us. We have a live fire exercise kicking off on 30 March. I'll update if that changes. So far, 2D Marine Division is pushing through.

Also, for what it's worth: future Mrs is in the SC National Guard. I would anticipate a curfew being established in SC very soon. (From what she has heard) Haven't heard anything about NC.
