If you guys keep up with college sports you would know that next year they are starting the 5 in 5. 5 years of eligibility in 5 years. Long story short, college athletes can play 5 years in college if they stay for 5 years, no questions asked. However they eliminated redshirts and only injuries can add onto your time. A good much needed rule.

Then recently athletes sued the NCAA to allow Class of 2022 kids (just graduated seniors) to go back to school and won. They originally were not grandfathered into the ruling. Now they are. With this means guys like RJ Godfrey who graduated from clemson last year, hit the portal, and in his case, committed to play at Arizona.

Now that means there are a lot of really good college athletes in the portal who are looking to play somewhere next year. We are technically at 15 scholarships but that does NOT mean we should stop trying to sign players. We desperately need some help in some areas.

The first thing we need to do. Strip Markel Jennings and Brandon Klatsky of their scholarships. Look, I know it would be a slap in the face. Guys that have been walkons for years, earned scholarships, and now you have to take it away. That is just the reality of college sports now. Then Mike White needs to go raise money from the boosters to get 2 new players. A backup PG and a backup Center/Forward.

I have no intel on this but here are two names of people that have connections to the state of Georgia that we could afford and use.

Former Clemson PG Dillon Hunter
Former Arkansas PF Malique Erwin

Both I believe would be able to play. Both from Georgia. While both have flaws both are very good college players with roles we need to fill. Would be good additions.

However I know we will do nothing and sit on our hands. I know this is brand new but every one around us cares enough to make new additions, I worry we won't and will be left behind.

And now as I post that I just read that only people who can hit the portal are players who were apart of the Ohio and Tennessee court case for extra eligibility can enter the portal. The other players apart of the Colorado class action case can only return to school not portal out.

COMPLETE CHAOS. NCAA PLS FIX THIS.
