I am not sure what McVey can/cannot do at this juncture.

Bailey is out of eligibility.

McVey would hurt to see 3years of redshirt players in a row leave.

Ross I like because he plays within his ability

I agree with Dirt for the most part.

STAY
-Wilkinson (gone, but we don't need to pay $2.5 million to keep this guy. He takes too many bad shots for my taste and does not play enough defense. I would love to have been able to keep him and develop him, but not at that price tag.)
-Wilkins (I like this kid's effort. Let's hope he can put on some weight and get stronger. He is very athletic)
-Catchings (Kannon when on is as good as anyone. Probably the most important kid on our roster)
-Somto (Also gone. I would have liked to see him develop further, but I am not heart broken over him. At his size and athleticism, he should easily average a double-double. No excuse for this guy to average a little over 5 rebounds per game)
-Smurf (Good shooter and distributor of the ball)
-Blue (we need to get Blue back to playing like he did last season more consistently. Great effort guy and is a better shooter than he showed this year. Doesn't mind playing defense)
-Stagg (Came a long way this season. If we can keep him and continue to develop him, I think he can be an all SEC player
-Jackson McVey (Hope he can continue to gain strength and be a contributor next season)


OK with leaving
-DJ (seemed to regress this season)
-Bailey (Out of eligibility)
-Ross (not overly impressed with him. I didn't think we should play him as much as we did; especially early in the season)
-Justin Abson (Out of eligibility. I actually liked him a lot. We need to replace him for sure.)

*We need to get bigger, find guys who are willing defenders/rebounders, and continue to develop the guys that stay. Hopefully we have been raising more money.

Is Wilkinson's key reason for leaving wanting more money than we are willing to give? Also, what's wrong with Wilkinson's defense? I wasn't able to watch the last quarter of the season

Money money money. I agree with his evaluation of Wilkinson but yes, he is a bag chaser. Parents were a headache for the staff too I think.
