The last 2 games, especially the last one, makes me wonder, who had already checked out? Who was already done? With that little effort shown by a number of players, it makes you wonder.

Do we have any traction on high school players for the 26 class? I still haven't heard anything...it would be unfortunate to not get a single player from this high school class. Kentucky doesn't have one yet either I read.

Transfer portal and basically a new team every year is ruining college basketball.

You got any insight on why? Money driven? "Better" school? Unhappiness with UGA/White? Encouraged to move on? Guessing all of the above.

You can't expect to win with a roster purge every. single. year.

I agree. We need to retire the 2 year old thread. Lets stick with this one going forward to next season.

Believe the portal opens on the 7th. In regards to HS players, do not know off the top of my head but that deadline is approaching soon. You ideally want to get your HS signees on campus towards the end of the spring semester/beginning of summer.

At this point the HS kids left are the 5 stars really weighing their options and the lower ranked kids trying to find a home. My guess is we are not bringing on any new HS kids next season.

For any normal team, I would agree that at this point, or at a point a year from now, if we can't make noise in the ncaa's, we ought to move to a new coach.
But this is not a normal program.
Since the dark ages of John Guthrie, we have fired every coach we have hired except Tubby.
The program has frankly stated there is no interest in providing enough funds to build and maintain a good team.
Seems to me the only hope we have is to be loyal to a half way decent coach and hope he can build enough respect and develop unheralded talent, so that we can start to develop some interest from the fan base and boosters.
I like this coach better than any coach we have had since Jim Harrick. I'm not in any hurry with him .

I knew Harrick would win, but I also knew we would end up on probation with him.
