Dawgs allowed the Cocks to shoot 41% for the game (52% in the 2nd half) but shot 51% for the game themselves (47% from 3), which allowed them to get the win. Dawgs had 4 in double figures and Blue Cain with 9, led by Asa's 17 and Leffew's 14. Both Leffew and Demary had 4 assists and 1 TO, including a beautiful behind the back pass by Leffew, out of a double team, down the baseline under the basket for an easy 2. Dylan James had his best conference game in 21 minutes with 10 pts (on 4 of 6 shooting and was nearly all of our bench scoring), 5 rebs and 2 blocks - he really made an impact on the game. Dawgs still had a TO problem - with 12 TOs leading to 19 pts off TO by USCe, who had 17 TOs themselves, though the Dawgs did not take full advantage only scoring 10. Dawgs looked a bit shaky against pressure late, but never trailed in the game. Should mention this was Leffew's 1st start in place of Lawrence. I said before the season that he needed to be starting.

This was a game the Dawgs had to win to save their season after 4 losses in a row. That loss at Arky was just given away; we have to get that back somewhere, and we need to find a way to play better away from the Steg. And please work harder against pressure defense....

Why hasn't Dylan James been playing more? Before the Florida game, I don't really recall seeing him since the Ole Miss game...
