losing by 2 to the #1 team in the country when being down 17 in the first half and having a chance to tie the game in the end and even win while only making 9 of 20 FTs (granted the last miss was intentional) has got to be pretty close. As always, the Dawgs inability to handle pressure defense and turning the ball over really hurt. This game was a huge opportunity with Broome being out injured, but Auburn is #1 for a reason; they have a lot of talent. We gave them everything they could handle. We continue to play well defensively. We have got find a way to shoot better from the perimeter and handle pressure defense....

The thing that is starting to irk me is your last sentence has been on repeat for a while now. They need to fix it. It's not a mystery. And my kingdom for a UGA hoops team that makes FT at a clip somewhere north of abysmal. Oy.

Have to take one of next two road games.

We have generally shot FTs pretty well this year, but not in that game. I do not understand why we are having trouble inbounding and beating a press. I realize we don't have a stud PG who can single-handedly break a press, but you can draw up a press break against almost anything.

Yes of course and designing more picks and screens would be a great counter to the press. Additionally, how about trying to get the inbound pass in closer to the middle of the court, as opposed to the corner because that will make a world of difference too.

Perhaps they need to get back to the basics of "Breaking the Press 101?"
