Home win over OU 72-62! I believe we will be ranked this week and deserve it. Beat #6 and #16 and have 13 wins with 11 at home are a pretty good formula. It is such a great luxury to have size - finally. We blocked 8 shots and outrebounded a very good OU team by 8. Size leads to better defense, and we played some defense today. OU didn't want to take the ball inside after all these blocks. They got very hesitant to shoot inside. Didn't shoot worth a crap from 3 - 4 for 17 - under 18%. That has to improve. Montgomery had maybe the worst game he's played for us so far - 4 TOs and 0 for 3 from 3. The most amazing line to me was Demary's - 1 of 7 from the floor and 0-4 from 3, BUT 8 rebss, 4 assists, only 1 TO, 3 steals and 8 of 9 FTs, and he was stellar on defense, holding OU's top scorer to 2 pts. White said Demary was the best player on the floor. And let's not overlook Abson's contribution in 6 minutes off the bench - he helped a lot. Held OU to 38% from the floor and only 6 2nd chance pts. If we can keep playing defense like this, we will win a lot of games.

We are #36 in the Kenpom rankings after yesterday and 26th in the NET rankings. We were 39th in the AP and 33rd in the coaches poll last week. Will we enter the AP Top 25 on Monday for the first time since 2011?
Monk for me I hope everyone just ignores us. No ranking. No press. Just keep sleeping on us. Nothing to see here. 
Nostra, if you watched the postgame interviews with Somto and Asa, Somto said, "We don't care about rankings. That's just some peoples' opinion." The team is approaching this the right way - one game at a time, trying to continue to improve. These guys are very mature. They have their heads on straight. These guys seem to have a great relationship with each other. They had great things to say about both Demary and Abson. I'm very impressed. If and when we start being more consistent from the perimeter, we are gonna be hard to beat. Teams are gonna have to press us and try to get our bigs in foul trouble. We need to handle pressure better. And I think we will.Nostradawgus said:
