UGA needn't have lost this game at Ole Miss; we just couldn't make shots. I thought many of our shots were forced and the result of players trying to go 1 on 1. IMHO we need to get shots from our scheme - our offense. You aren't going to win many games scoring 51 pts these days.... A 23 pt. 2nd half is dreadful. All of our guards shot a putrid percentage. That won't cut it. 29% from the floor and 11% from 3 won't get it done in the SEC. When you aren't knocking down perimeter shots, take the ball inside, particularly when you have a height advantage. Blue should be playing himself out of the starting 5, but all the guards shot terribly in this one.

The only good news was we didn't play good.
We shot terrible, yet we were still in the game.
Cain actually played a good floor game but he has to hit some 3's. Demary was invisible and Montgomery forced shots.
Worst game of the season

We didn't take many high percentage shots. Especially in the second half. Their bodies were always moving when releasing the ball. I call them floating shots. You are lucky if you make 2 out of 10 when taking a floating shot. Our players didn't even try to win the game. They were more interested in taking circus shots than ringing the basket. You will always lose to good teams taking floating shots. I'm very disappointed in their efforts yesterday.

I disagree somewhat. I thought for the most part, we were getting good looks and taking wide open shots, they just weren't falling. Down the stretch, though, I agree that we were taking terrible shots. Honestly, it's almost like the kind of gave up on the game plan and everyone turned into Justin Hill from last year.

I, too, was super disappointed in their discipline and effort down the stretch. Hopefully it was just youth and they can learn and grow from it. I'm definitely concerned if they don't.
