Great, dominating game last night despite making a lot of mistakes at the same time. We had 16 turnovers which needs to be cleaned up but we countered that with 16 steals, 7 blocks, and a 47-22 rebound edge. We need to clean up the free throws (28-41) if we want to compete and beat the upper echelon of the SEC as well as beat our two ranked opponents coming up.
With all of that being said, it seems that all of the new kids and existing ones are beginning to gel and one can hope that will only continue to improve as the season progresses. You have to be excited about our front court with Somto, Abson, and Godfrey helping down low. We are physically tough and intimidating. We also have shooters with Leffew, Cain, and Lawrence. The Dawg faithful will get on the bandwagon with some wins next week.
