Got some good news for those who might not know yet. Savo has landed down in Athens. Got in yesterday and already had a shooting workout last night. He's going to be really good. I think it's going to be hard for CMW to not play him. His English is NOT up to par and I am not sure where he is academically but Josh Brooks is going to need to get this man some easy classes. He is gonna need it

I was just asking someone about that the other day. This kid will pick up English fast, I bet. Many European kids have at least some formal education in English. Will be very interesting to see how he affects our rotations.

Heard an interesting story about Savo's visit. When he came to Athens, we tried to set up a meeting between him and any organization of Serbian students, but we couldn't really identify one. But it turns out we have a Serbian coach on the staff of another sport that we arranged for Savo to meet. They spent quite a bit of time together. Savo apparently confessed to this coach that he had just taken the visit for the Hell of it because he was probably gonna sign with Kansas. A couple weeks later, Savo called this coach again and said that he had been thinking about Athens more and more, and he ended up silently committing in May. White said they tried to keep that quiet, but his name leaked out, and we had to fend off several schools who came after him. White got worried. But he's in Athens now!
