I hesitate to say that. I don't know enough about his perimeter shot or his ability to drive, not to mention his ability to defend a smaller guy who can put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket. Plus, as a freshman, he will likely have a tendency to grab and play defense with his hands, not his feet. I think we have enough perimeter players to cover the 3; I really don't want Asa straying too far from the basket. We need his rebounding and inside scoring, I think. Dylan James might be able to play the 3 better than Asa at this point. I think Dylan had the highest 3 pt % on the team last year, though admittedly with many fewer attempts. If Godfrey starts, Dylan might back him up, as well as back up Asa. Leffew at 6'5" or 6'6" could slide to the 3 if necessary, too, and we could go with 3 guards.
