When it's quiet like this, and football is closer than basketball. Long way to go with little updates to be had at the moment. This is when I miss the season most.

UGA has so many football fans, so few basketball fans. I have always felt that football doesn't need our help, whereas basketball needs every single fan it can get. I long for information about UGA basketball every day, and it's very scarce this time of year....

Agree. Get jealous seeing all these other colleges that have active pages with great insight all offseason. We will get there, takes time

Ya know, we have had so many false starts over the years. Durham got to a Final Four but failed to capitalize. Tubby was building something, but left for Lexington after only 2 years. His assistant didn't have it. We could have hired Mike Bray, who was pretty successful at Notre Dame, but Adams forced the hire of Harrick, probably the best coach we've ever had but whose past and whose son made him a target for the media. Harrick had a very possible Final Four team only to have the program blown up by Adams and Dooley in a huge overreaction to relatively minor offenses. His successor was a decent recruiter but thought the program needed to be cleaned up for no good reason. He came in like a drill sergeant, but he was not a good coach. Fox had some slight success but could produce no excitement with his lethargic style of play and poor recruiting. Crean was simply a disaster. White came into a program in dire straits. We have improved our roster each of his 3 years and improved our record in his first 2. White is making progress, which is all we can reasonably expect. Ours is not an overnight fix. White seems to be building some great class separation and bringing in some real talent. To me, his only failure has been not to establish a real exciting style of play - an identity. The best programs have an identity. I hope that White can do that as his roster improves. We have no choice but to be patient, and White does give us hope for the future. The '24-'25 season should be a lot of fun....
