I've wanted to hire Mike White for over eight years. You can ask any of my basketball friends and they will tell you the same. I've been singing White's praises for so long, they are tired of me talking about it. North Carolina screwed up. You need to admit it. And I will never participate in the Jonas hate.
When White moves on to become the next Alabama or Tennessee coach in 4 years, then we can hire Jonas.
That way, Jonas will meet the criteria for having head coaching experience.

Who doesn't love the hell outta Jonas?? I've never seen anything remotely resembling "hate" towards Jonas. I mean seriously, EVERYONE loves Jonas Hayes!!
The eight years BS that's constantly spouted is meaningless, without some sort of reasoning. I'm not sure if your eight year count is the team that started 1-5 and finished 9-9 or the 12-6 squad?? Either way, we're not firing the coach. I'm sure Greg appreciated your input.

If White stumbles, it'll be… I told ya, I wanted to hire Jonas 5 years ago. Mike White was a very easy decision over Jonas at this time. Jonas has had a rapid ascent in coaching and I would have been all in if we went with him, but Mike White is clearly the right choice.
