He could never succeed as a HC....

Lets hope White can achieve the same results.

Agree. North Carolina should have known better than to hire a head coach who had never been a head coach before. He had zero chance to succeed.

The best coaches often times have some the best players.

Put Hubert on our sideline this year instead of Crean, and the results would have likely been very similar.

On the cusp of an all-time coaching job. Should be a good game vs. KU. He has really got them playing good. Only significant addition to last year's team is Manek. But he has got them all playing together. The rotation works and the pieces fit together. He could legitimately win a title in his first year. That is an incredible start to his tenure. Could be a big decade ahead for UNC.

Kansas is really good. They are deserving of their #1 seed. The idea of UNC being an 8 seed is ludicrous. They have a very solid roster. But they aren't deep when it comes to experience. Manek started out the year a little slow. It took him awhile to get confidence. The whole team benefitted from having new voices on the staff. Hubert changed some of their offensive sets and actually slowed their pace, quite different from most UNC teams. I have a friend who is disappointed with the slower pace, but I think it was a conscious decision but Hubert and staff because of their lack of depth. Still, Kansas has to be the favorite tomorrow - probably 6-7 points. Kansas seems a bit more explosive than UNC. But I wouldn't bet on UNC not finding a way to get a W.
