He's a averaging 18 and 4 as a rookie.

To be honest the lack of efficiency still kind of scares me at this point. I think he'll come around, but 18 points on 16 shots a game is not really that impressive. I get that he is a rookie. And you can see the physical gifts. But I am still not sold.
Right now he is basically the same thing it was a Georgia. Scoring a ton of points, on a ton of shots, playing for a terrible team.
31% from 3 and 46% from 2 is not helping your team win games, no matter what the point total winds up at.

You'll have Harden or someone score 35 with 20 FTs shooting like 3/12 from 3.

The kid is 19 and it will take him a few years to develop to be more efficient and to figure out the game more. He will be great in 3 years.
There were zero guards in the all star game this year that weren't at least okay 3 point shooters. Not saying he won't figure it out but he is not even in the same range of shooter that Harden is at this point. Harden is like 36% for his career. Edwards doesn't need to be Steph Curry, but needs to get into that 34-36% range. Good enough to keep people honest. He's shooting 31.6% from 3 as a rookie. He also wasn't known for his shooting anyway.
