That's awesome. He may be up that list in turnovers too? Just curious - but glad he is having a strong season. He hustles.
Turnovers aren't listed in UGA Men's Basketball's 23-page history and records. So I looked at UGA's career assist leaders and compared their assists-to-turnover ratios w/ Wheeler's:
Rashad Wright, 1x All-SEC, made 493 assists and 247 turnovers (2.00 assists/turnover) in 4 seasons at UGA.
Sundiata Gaines made 476 assists and 321 turnovers (1.48 assists/turnover) in 4 seasons at UGA.
Litterial Green, 3x All-SEC, made 466 assists and 313 turnovers (1.49 assists/turnover) in 4 seasons at UGA.
G.G. Smith made 440 assists and ??? turnovers in 4 seasons at UGA.
J.J. Frazier made 422 assists and 201 turnovers (2.10 assists/turnover) in 4 seasons at UGA.
Dustin Ware made 400 assists and 186 turnovers (2.15 assists/turnover) in 4 seasons at UGA.
Charles Mann made 400 assists and 399 turnovers (1 assist/turnover) in 4 seasons at UGA.Pertha Robinson made 399 assists and 221 turnovers (1.81 assists/turnover) in 4 seasons at UGA.
Rod Cole, 1x All-SEC, made 379 assists and ??? turnovers in 4 seasons at UGA.
Vern Fleming, 2x All-SEC, made 376 assists and 316 turnovers (1.19 assists/turnover) in 4 seasons at UGA.
Gerald Crosby made 347 assists and 163 turnovers (2.13 assists/turnover) in 4 seasons at UGA.
Willie Anderson, 2x All-SEC, made 334 assists and 303 turnovers (1:10 assists/turnover) in 4 seasons at UGA.
Shandon Anderson, 1x All-SEC, made 324 assists and 339 turnovers (0.96 assists/turnover) in 4 seasons at UGA.
Sahvir Wheeler's made 304 assists and 190 turnovers (1.60 assists/turnover) in <2 seasons at UGA. His assists-to-turnover ratio is much better than Charles Mann, but Wheeler's # of turnovers is comparable when extrapolated. Hopefully he improves his ball security and eclipses Dustin Ware's 2.15 assists-turnover ratio before he finishes his UGA career.
