as college basketball fans we seem to focus on the ncaa tourney. (rightfully so)
however with the dawgs that isn't too realistic now.
i feel we have made some improvements this season.
depth, athleticism and shooting seem better than last season.
there is still plenty of room for improvement though.

do you think we are capable of getting an nit bid and perhaps even winning some games there?

Yes and yes.

The NIT is often as much about whether or not a team wants to be there as it is about talent. I would hope that this team would feel motivated by any postseason berth.

Beat UT and the conversation starts to change a little bit. But I'm with you...I think the NIT is a realistic goal for this group...

We played a bad first half, had some terrible luck (those two fluke threes at the shot clock buzzer were killer), played a great second half, and lost by 8 to a good team without one of its best players.

This is who we are. We're not beating Bama.

(I'm wrong enough that I'm tempting to universe to make me look stupid...hoping it happens...)

Naw dawg...the universe about to slam down on this team against Bama....hell I'm just hoping they don't lose by 20...if it's under that then chalk that up as a moral victory. If we could count moral victories then Crean would have a winning record in the SEC.

Towards the end of game a Bama fan posted on The Rant.

"If I'm a Georgia fan, my team is poorly coached AND the coach is a hyper maniac who never shuts up. Like, what is he doing? Just constantly giving bad advice?"

The NIT just downsized from 32 -> 16 teams...so maybe we're not NIT material? Sad...
