I know for a fact that the old football lettermen don't want basketball to be good. They say it will hurt the football program. I've heard them say it with my own ears. They tell our AD and head football coach and head basketball coach this all the time. I know Mark Fox really wanted to make the old lettermen happy. He knew it would protect his job for many years. And it worked.

Your obsession with blaming Mark Fox is just ridiculous. We had some good teams and won our fair share of games with Fox and Staff. Look at his last six years here: 9-9, 12-6, 11-7, 10-8, 9-9 and then 7-11 got him fired. His teams always looked coached, if anything over-coached at times.

Crean is 7-32 and it has absolutely zero to do with Mark Fox.

My post was not about Mark Fox. It was about the old football lettermen not wanting our basketball program to be good. Your obsession of defending Mark Fox is sad.

I don't care if Coach X or Y is/was coaching. Those teams w/ Marcus, Nemi, Charles, JJ, Yante, etc were pretty damn good. I have attended around 25 SEC Tourneys and those three straight years of playing in the semis on Saturday more than equals the other 20+ combined. Sorry to say but those "Fox" years are the best results I've witnessed this millennium and some.

But hey, if you will stop bringing him up you damn sure won't have me responding. Let's talk about Crean being 7-32 with no sign of improvement.
