Very few of those came from half court offense. Good D plus good transition O. Dawgs lead 49-26 at the half. It does help that Cincinnati can't shoot threes yet they keep throwing them up.

Lost to Xavier, Tennessee and South Florida. Not sure how good south Florida but Tennessee and Xavier are pretty good teams. I think the Tennessee game was maybe 10-12 point Tennessee win.

Edit: Tennessee won by 9. Take that for what it's worth.

I heard them say that South Florida was the preseason favorite in the American. They lost at home to them by 4. They're not as good as some recent Cincinnati teams but they aren't slouches. That was an impressive first half and I think it shows what this team is capable of in the post-AntMan era.

I agree, and I don't want to get too excited, but this team has some nice pieces. I think they are still learning how to play together, but tonight it's all clicking.

12 point game. 51-39. Cincinnati taking better shots, not allowing dawgs to get in transition. Forcing the dawgs to play half court offense and it's not pretty.

Dawgs look a lot more fundamentally sound than they did last year. A couple of sloppy passes towards the end of the game but overall much more sound.
