Though we started off pretty well, somewhere in the first half we lost our momentum. Now, let's give Montana some credit; they came in 0-3, yes, but they only lost by 13 to USC and had back to back 1 point losses on FTs at the buzzer to a conference opponent. They are pretty scrappy. But we got very sloppy about midway in the 1st half and Montana kept themselves in the game, though it was never tied after 0-0. We didn't shoot well from distance or from the FT line, but we rebounded well on the offensive glass and had 40 points in the paint. Camara had 17 rebs. We also got some fastbreak points. But we will have to play better come the Cincinnati game and when we get in conference to stay competitive.
Garcia is shooting about 66% from the field, I believe, but he makes dumb fouls and gets himself sent to the bench with foul trouble too often. Wheeler was only 1-6 from 3; he can't fall in love with that 3 pt shot. Brown didn't shoot well from distance either. We didn't have the same focus last night as we had against Jacksonville. Crean said after the game that some guys seemed to think they were gonna win the game without having to work for it. That's pretty accurate. Need more effort and better shooting going forward.
