I see Crean mentioned with a lot of prospects but nothing solid to date.

At a minimum we'll have 3 schollies available with the GT's (Kier, Garcia, Horne). That's not a lot, I wouldn't panic quite yet but in the end we sure need to land a couple of good ones. There'll likely be (or need to be) some attrition from next seasons rising seniors, so I'd guess we ultimately sign 4.

If we finish this unorthodox season 12th-13th, as we've been picked, the pressure on Crean will be immense in year 4. Early period ends tomorrow (18th), maybe they'll surprise us with a commitment/signing. If we suffer through a 3rd straight dismal year, that'll just make it tougher to attract signees in the spring.

Looks like combo guard Camron McDowell is on the board.

Offer sheet appears to be mid-table Power 5.

It's something... 6'5 170lbs is pretty thin, maybe he'll come in closer to 185. Doesn't look like a major first year contributor but sounds like there's potential.

I've seen random inter web commentary that he is stout defensively and still has offensive refinements to go. I'd call this an excellent kind of player for Crean to develop. Crean kind of needs impact players now but let's see what he does with the next two.

CTC definitely needs impact players now. If this season plays out as projected, year four might be the end (buyout drops to 3.2). I'm not even asking for a tourney berth in four seasons, but I do think .500 or better should be a must. And y'all gotta agree that's a damn weak ask of a coach in four years.
