6'6", 218 lbs freshman from Blairstown, NJ. Class of 2017 3* SG prospect redshirted this past season then announced his intent to transfer of 13 March 2018. Had a scholarship offer from UGA (officially visited on 19 October 2016) and said the Dawgs were a leading contender before he committed to the Cowboys on 2 November. Fwiw, he also claimed to have turned down Villanova Head Coach Jay Wright's offer to commit.

Monk, the only thing I know is what I read at the time of his commitment and that is he wanted to be closer to home (he's originally from Las Vegas, NV), he was impressed w/ Wyoming winning the Mountain West Conference in 2015, he was impressed that Wyoming PF/C Larry Nance, Jr. was an NBA First Round draft pick that summer, and he was impressed w/ Head Coach Allen Edwards winning two NCAA Championships while a player at Kentucky in the 1990s.

Btw, he sat out this season (i.e., redshirted) after suffering migraine headaches this fall/winter that he attributed to multiple concussions he incurred playing high school football. As these symptoms persisted throughout the preseason and season he grew "angry" and "frustrated" and felt it was in his best interest to leave the program the week after their season ended.

Interesting AF. Wonder if he's over those concussion symptoms. That stuff can linger a long time.
