Seriously though, DUI is DUI no matter the substance. Seems like the other 3 got off-which they should have.

Alcohol or drug arrests or citations are violations of UGAAA policies that include automatic competition suspension, education, counseling, and community service.

pg. 147

Marijuana is illegal in Georgia and its use is banned by UGAAA and the NCAA and can result in a loss of eligibility.

pg. 149

Any student-athlete participating in the intercollegiate athletic program is subject to reasonable suspicion drug testing if there is a reason to believe they may be using banned substances.

pg. 151

Substance Abuse Policy Guidelines: First Offense

The student-athlete will be suspended from competition during the athletic season for no less than 10% of the total sport season.

pg. 152

If suspension is determined for the student-athlete by the Director of Athletics and Head Sport Coach, the suspension must be served immediately and in successive competitions. The suspension percentage calculated will be rounded to the rounded to the nearest whole number. Student-athletes under competition suspension shall not dress in uniform during their suspension.

That is highly inappropriate right there. Seriously calling the AD? I would love to hear more on the justification for that. Are they going to call everyone's employer when they pull someone over?

I guess I should've defined "should" as in my personal opinion. Legalize it already.

But yes, open container for a passenger is a violation too.
