There are 353 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball teams and 349 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Teams. Since an odd number, there will have to be a play-in to accomodate all teams.

I have to believe that his contract doesn't allow for him to collect a bonus if they change the tourney to a participation trophy format
