ouch - big difference between Alabama and South Carolina. I would guess the number of years players stay is a significant factor.

Not sure I understand these numbers. Does this mean players signed or players on the current roster?

For example, how does Vanderbilt rank fourth overall in conference when their last four years they ranked 14-12-10-3? The math is challenging for me there, particularly when the only two five stars they signed stayed freshman year and left, so are no longer with the team.

I'm not a big fan of comparing two teams with a 0.04 differential and claiming one is more talented than the other, as I've said in the past. Particularly in basketball, where you can have four 5 star post players and it won't mean jack if you don't have a point guard. Or you could have 5 five stars and 8 two stars and dominate. But beyond all that, just trying to understand the math.

Pretty disappointing the basketball team sucked. Starting to wonder if they'll ever be good.

It's a relative ranking of roster talent on SEC Men's Basketball teams this season.
