No, but I saw them from the stands, including beating Bama 21-0 in '76. Saw Dooley's Dogs bus arrive before games there. Great memories.

I did a couple of times, once was versus Auburn when it was so crowded you really couldn't find anywhere on the tracks to stand much less sit. We finally drifted down to the street where we could see a slice of the field.

The Track People were really something back in the 70s.

I also dimly recall the train coming along one time. I was inside the stadium. I forget what student tickets cost back then, it wasn't much at all, but we had seats up in the upper deck.

I left in 1975.

Class of '76, I watched almost all of the games from the tracks, it was a ball! Couldn't afford buying beer in the stadium and we could carry a case of beer in a cooler and use it as a seat, terrific. If you got there early enough you could sit on the tracks, which I preferred over trying to balance on the side of the slope. I was there one time when a train came and they were warned ahead of time because they approached slowly. No one would move so they just stopped and watched the end of the game with us. In spite of some legends, I don't recall many fights at all, just a lot of happy , heavily drinking people watching the game. I do remember a time when a car of fans from the opposing team drove by and yelled obscenities at us. Bad move. Before they escaped, their car must have been hit by 50 beer bottles!
I have a lot of great memories from UGA and a LOT of them are from those stupid tracks!

Yes!! Right before the last game of the season the team unloaded at the tracks and threw out t- shirts they had made themselves. I caught one that Rex Robinson threw out that was autographed by team members and with the message "farewell to the tracks." Still have it today, never been washed so not to mess up the ink.
Had the most fun I ever had at games up there, but so glad I survived, and those days are behind me. Crazy times for sure. I have seen a copy of a letter that Erk Russel wrote thanking the Track Fans for their support.

My favorite spot on Sats. It was crazy to see the craziest pure UGA fans celebrating, mostly, wins.
