ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs continue adding defensive backs to their impressive 2027 recruiting class.

After landing commitments from four-star JUCO cornerback Alius Mayo‍ in late September and three-star cornerback Nash Johnson‍ earlier this month, the Bulldogs land a commitment from another in-state defensive back in Newton (GA) safety Braylon Miller.

Ranked as the No. 178 safety prospect in the country, Miller flipped his commitment today from Liberty. The 5-foot-10 190-pounder committed to the Dawgs this weekend during his official visit after earning an offer on October 3rd.

Miller has been a tackling machine so far this season as a senior, making 100 tackles and nine TFLs through the first eight games of the season. He’s also helped lead the Rams to a dominant 8-0 record.

In addition to his 100 tackles, Miller also has two sacks, three INTs, eight pass deflections, and an eye-opening five forced fumbles. He’s a ball magnet who knows how to tackle and make a play on the football. He creates turnovers and consistently finds his way to the ball-carrier.

On offense, Miller has hauled in 18 passes for 320 yards and four touchdowns. He’s also rushed the ball 12 times for 200 yards and three more touchdowns.

He’s been one of the state’s most productive defenders so far this season, and when he had an opportunity to jump on board with Georgia, Miller didn’t hesitate.

The Atlanta-area safety gives Georgia their 23rd commitment in the 2027 recruiting class.
