Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs Listed as Massive Favorites to Beat Western Kentucky
ATHENS - UGA Football has been installed as a significant favorite to beat the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers this Saturday at Between the Hedges at Sanford Stadium in Athens.
Georgia is listed as a 40-5-point favorite to beat the Hilltoppers in Athens. It is the second contest in a row with the Bulldogs being listed as at least 40-point favorites.
The line means the Bulldogs have “about” an 99% chance of winning the game straight up. Georgia’s 63-3 win last Saturday over Tennessee State was one of the few times in UGA history that the Bulldogs have covered a 40-point-plus line.
The Bulldogs are 3-17-1 since 2010 against the spread in games they are favored over 40 points. Kirby’s teams had never covered such a massive line until Saturday.
Since 2010, Georgia is 69-1 as 20-point favorites straight up. The only loss in that time was a four-turnover noon game against South Carolina in 2019. The Bulldogs have only lost once this decade Between the Hedges - last year’s 24-21 Alabama win over the Dawgs.
