ATHENS - Georgia’s five-star quarterback commitment will be back in Athens this upcoming weekend.
While the Dawgs have four-star quarterback Colton Nussmeier on the commit list for the 2027 class, they also hold a commitment from five-star Jayden Wade in the 2028 class.
One of the nation’s top overall prospects in his class, Wade is a dynamic, dual-threat passer at IMG Academy who has been committed to the Bulldogs since November 16th.
A big quarterback with breakaway speed at 6-foot-4 195-pounds, Wade has been near perfect to start his junior season for the Ascenders. Through his first three games the five-star passer is 37/48 for 643 yards and nine passing touchdowns. He’s also run for 131 yards and two touchdowns on just seven carries. Over the weekend, leading IMG to a 41-0 win over St. Louis, Wade was 13/15 for 228 yards and four touchdown passes.
DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!
According to FanDuel, the San Antonio Spurs have +280 odds to win the NBA Finals next summer.
On film Wade shows outstanding arm talent with impressive accuracy when slinging the ball down the field.
Of course he’s still developing and learning to play the position, but Wade has the size and natural ability to do big things at the next level. He can score from anywhere on the field with both his arm and his legs. His athleticism stands out immediately, but his arm strength is a major reason why he’s ranked where he is.
Wade is still being heavily recruited by others, but Wade appears to be fully locked in with his Georgia commitment and will be back in Athens again this weekend.
Wade is currently ranked as the No. 1 QB and the No. 5 overall prospect in the country for his class.
