ATHENS - The Las Vegas Raiders are “all in” on several former Georgia Bulldog defenders.

During a massive first day of NFL free agency, the Raiders signed three former Bulldogs including Quay Walker, Nakobe Dean, and Eric Stokes.

The biggest contract offer went to Walker. The former five-star prospect out of Crisp County (GA) signed with the Bulldogs during their top-ranked 2018 class and left Georgia a 2021 national champion. As a Bulldog, Walker made 139 tackles, 11 TFLs and five sacks. He was a key contributor on the 2021 defense that is recognized as one of the college football’s best.

Walker would be taken in the first-round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers where he improved more and more every season. During his four years in Green Bay, Walker made 469 tackles, 29 TFLs and nine sacks. Now, Walker has signed a three-year, $40.5 million deal that includes $28 million guaranteed.

Around the same time, the Raiders also signed former Georgia legend Nakobe Dean. A former five-star from Georgia’s elite 2019 class, Dean lived up to the hype and had a terrific three-year career in Athens. Dean led Georgia’s incredible defense during the 2021 season all the way to the national championship, winning the Dick Butkus Award for the nation’s top linebacker along the way.

Dean ended his Georgia career with 168 tackles, 13.5 TFLs and 7.5 sacks. He also forced three fumbled and picked off two passes, taking one of them back for a touchdown against the Gators in 2021.

The All-American linebacker was selected in the 3rd round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. During his time in Philly, Dean made 226 tackles, 19 TFLs and 7.5 sacks.

Now, Dean has signed with the Raiders on a three-year, $36 million deal with $20 million guaranteed.

The Raiders also signed former Bulldog cornerback Eric Stokes to a 3-year, $30 million contract with $20 million guaranteed. Stokes was a former three-star prospect who shined at Georgia between 2017 and 2020, making 78 total tackles with four INTs, taking two of them back for touchdowns.

Stokes was taken in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers and played with the Raiders last season on a one-year deal. Now, after a strong 2025 season, Stokes’ contract was extended nicely.
