ATHENS - Kirby Smart and UGA Football were ranked No. 4 in the third College Football Playoff Committee rankings of the year Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs are ranked No. 4 in both the Coaches’ and AP Poll as well. Kirby Smart’s one-loss Bulldogs have played well over the past few weeks.
The Bulldogs punished Charlotte 35-3 Saturday. Then the Dawgs face off with Georgia Tech Friday afternoon on ABC at 3:30. UGA is considered a 13.5-point favorite to win that game. Georgia’s game with Georgia Tech takes place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for the first time ever.
The Bulldogs have wins over No. 19 Tennessee, No. 16 Texas and No. 7 Ole Miss and a loss to No. 10 Alabama, meaning the Dawgs have played one of the most-difficult schedules in college football this season.
