ATHENS - UGA Football’s 2026 football schedule was released Tuesday night by the SEC, and it has a slew of big games.
Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs will play tradition SEC rivals Auburn and Florida in 2026, and the SEC added a game with the South Carolina Gamecocks to the schedule as well. Those three teams will play Georgia yearly until at least 2029, UGA officials confirmed on Monday.
UGA will play the Gators in Atlanta as a part of a two-year plan that moved that rivalry away from Jacksonville for only the second time in series history. The Bulldogs will play six other SEC games in 2026. Georgia will face those six teams one other time before 2029 at the location opposite where the game is played next fall.
Georgia will travel to Alabama to play for the third time this decade. The Bulldogs host Alabama in Athens this wekeend. Alabama will have to return to Athens in 2028.
The trip to Arkansas will be the first for the Bulldogs since Stetson Bennett rallied Georgia to a season-opening win over the Hogs in 2020. Georgia lost at Ole Miss in 2024, a game that saw Rebel fans storm the field before time ran out.
The home slate in 2026 is not unreal. Auburn travels to Athens, and the Bulldogs host two teams with Big Eight ties - Missouri and Oklahoma. Vanderbilt returns Between the Hedges for the first time since 2022.
Georgia will travel to South Carolina for the first time since a 48-7 beating of the Cocks in 2022 in Columbia.
