ATHENS - Major UGA Football linebacker target Tyler Atkinson is ready to make his commitment.
The 5-star linebacker out of Grayson confirmed with Dawg Post that he will be committing on Tuesday on the Pat McAfee show.
The elite defender will commit to either Georgia, Oregon, Texas or Clemson, giving one lucky school a commitment from the nation’s No. 1 linebacker.
5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho committed to Oregon on the Pat McAfee show earlier this month.
Atkinson, the No. 9 overall prospect in the country, has always been a major Bulldog target after earning an offer from Glenn Schumann and Kirby Smart back when he was in 8th grade.
Atkinson is coming off an incredible junior season for the Grayson Rams where he made 166 tackles with 32 TFLs, 13 sacks, one INT, one forced fumble, and one blocked kick. He’s an elite run defender and one of the best pure pass-rushers across the country.
The 6-foot-2 215-pounder helped lead Grayson to a state championship last year and has a chance to run it back with the Rams as a senior this fall.
The Bulldogs already have one linebacker on the commit list in four-star Shadarius Toodle who flipped from Auburn in late June. They’re also one of the favorites to land four-star Nick Abrams II on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs currently have 29 commits in the 2026 class and are in a position to land the No. 1 class in the country.
