UGA Basketball To Host Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on November 14, 2025
ATHENS — The hardwood version of Clean Old-Fashioned Hate between the men’s basketball teams of Georgia and Georgia Tech will be played on Friday, Nov. 14, at Stegeman Coliseum.
The Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets will square off for the 201st time that evening. Georgia has won seven of the last nine meetings, including a 77-69 decision in Atlanta last season, and the Bulldogs sport a 55-31 advantage in games played in Athens.
Georgia won a record 15 games at Stegeman Coliseum last season, improving to 41-13 in the arena during head coach Mike White’s three seasons in Athens. After producing just eight double-digit home winning streaks in Georgia’s first 116 seasons of basketball, the Bulldogs have notched three winning streaks of 10 or more games at Stegeman under White.
The Bulldogs are coming off their best season in a decade, which culminated with Georgia’s first NCAA Tournament bid since 2015. The Bulldogs finished 20-13 while playing one of the toughest schedules in the country, including a nation-leading eight regular-season games against top-10 teams and 20 of 33 outings (60.6 percent) versus other NCAA Tournament teams.
Georgia’s 15-player roster for the 2025-26 season features seven returnees – including starters Blue Cain and Dylan James – and eight newcomers – five transfers and three freshmen.
