ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, fresh off an epic come-from-behind victory over Georgia Tech, have landed a commitment from a second quarterback prospect in the 2025 class.
They have four-star Ryan Montgomery already on board, and now they’ve added a commitment from three-star Hezekiah Millender, a local gunslinger out of Clarke Central who flipped from Boise State.
Georgia offered the local quarterback on November 24h, and a week later, he’s now on the commit list.
What will Millender bring to Athens?
Size, potential, and mobility.
This raw but promising passer is a low-risk, high-reward type of prospect. With the staff able to sign more prospects, Millender gives them a big arm who can make plays with his legs.
The 6-foot-3 195-pounder was 96/159 (60%) this fall with 1,798 yards and 25 touchdowns with just one INT. A dual-threat quarterback who can elude defenders down the field, Millender ran 96 times this fall for an impressive 606 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has a strong arm, but can certainly improve his accuracy moving forward. However, he does a good job of taking care of the ball, limiting turnovers, and making big plays with his legs.
The potential is easy to see, and if Mike Bobo and the offensive staff can continue developing him, he could be a weapon down the road if he starts to reach his full potential.
Millender is ranked as the No. 99 QB prospect and the No. 1664 overall prospect in the country.
