ATHENS - It’s BYE week for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, but as you know, there’s always an eye on the recruiting trail.

Prospects are emerging across the country and the Georgia staff extended several offers over the last week.

One of them went out to three-star WR Romero Ison‍.

A current USC commitment out of Baltimore City College (MD), Ison is a shifty, elusive wideout at 6-foot-0 175-pounds coming off a massive junior season where he caught 69 passes for 1,438 yards and 15 touchdowns. He committed to Southern Cal back in early April, but now, Ison tells Dawg Post he’ll be in Athens for a gameday visit this fall. Now, he’s become a new target that Georgia fans should to keep an eye on. James Coley and the Dawgs have four wide receiver commitments and are looking to add at least one more.

“It blew my mind when I received the offer, It’s crazy that one of the best teams in college football noticed my talent! I’m definitely looking forward to visiting this fall.”

Ison is ranked as the No. 64 wide receiver prospect and the No. 403 prospect in the country.

In the 2026 class, four-star EDGE Zavion Griffin-Haynes‍ earned an offer from Georgia this week. The Rolesville (NC) standout is currently committed to North Carolina, but now the Dawgs have put themselves in the mix.

The long, athletic 6-foot-6 220-pounder is ranked as the No. 9 EDGE defender, the No. 9 prospect in North Carolina, and the No. 110 overall prospect in the country.
