James Cook, Brock Bowers Headline Big NFL Weekend For Former UGA Bulldogs

ATHENS, Ga. – Former Georgia Bulldogs were back in action for week two of the NFL season with a variety of players shining on offense and five of Georgia's eight rookies starting for their respective teams. 

James Cook put on an impressive performance with a career high three total touchdowns against Miami on Thursday night while rookie tight end Brock Bowers has already set a couple NFL records in the first two weeks of his career.  He currently leads all tight ends in the league in targets, receptions and yards. 

Bills 31, Dolphins 10
James Cook, RB – Started at running back for Buffalo, rushing 11 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns, along with one catch for 17 yards and a touchdown. Cook's three touchdown performance on Thursday night marked a career high for touchdowns scored in a game.
Sedrick Van Pran Granger, OC – Dressed as a reserve lineman for the Bills, appearing on four total snaps in the win.
Channing Tindall, ILB – Was listed as inactive for Miami due to a coach's decision.

Buccaneers 20, Lions 16
Tykee Smith, S – Appeared on 67 percent of defensive snaps for the Buccaneers, totaling eight tackles and one tackle for loss in the win.
Jake Camarda, P – Punted five times for Tampa Bay, averaging 46 yards per punt, with two punts being downed inside the 20-yard-line and a long of 51 yards.

Packers 16, Colts 10
Devonte Wyatt, DT – Appeared on nearly 50 percent of defensive snaps for Green Bay, racking up two tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits in the win.
Eric Stokes, CB – Saw action on 24 defensive snaps for the Packers, totaling one tackle.
Quay Walker, ILB – Started at linebacker for Green Bay, leading the team in tackles with six. Walker has recorded six or more tackles in six straight games dating back to the 2023 season.
Javon Bullard, S – Started at safety for the Packers, recording five tackles and one pass defended in the win.

Vikings 23, 49ers 17
Leonard Floyd, OLB – Played nearly 60 percent of snaps at defensive end for San Francisco, recording no statistics.
Chris Conley, WR – Appeared on nine offensive snaps for the 49ers, catching one pass for four yards in the loss.
Robert Beal Jr., OLB – Played four snaps on defense for San Francisco, recording no statistics.

Kenny McIntosh, RB – Dressed as a reserve runningback for Seattle, appearing on two snaps while recording no statistics in the win.
David Andrews, OC – Started at center for New England as they gained 310 total yards on offense.

Commanders 21, Giants 18
Andrew Thomas, OT – Started at tackle for New York as the Giants gained over 300 yards on offense.
Azeez Ojulari, OLB – Saw action on 22 defensive snaps for the Giants, totaling three tackles and one tackle for loss.

Chargers 26, Panthers 3
Jamaree Salyer, OT/OG – Dressed for Los Angeles in the win but saw no action.
Ladd McConkey, WR – Appeared in nearly 70 percent of offensive snaps for the Chargers catching two passes for 26 yards.

Browns 18, Jaguars 13
Travon Walker, DE – Started at defensive end for Jacksonville, recording two tackles and one quarterback hit.

Raiders 26, Ravens 23
Zamir White, RB – Started at running back for the Raiders, rushing nine times for 24 yards while catching three passes for 14 yards in the win.
John Jenkins, DT – Appeared on 21 defensive snaps for Las Vegas, totaling two tackles on the day.
Brock Bowers, TE – Started at tight end for the Raiders, catching nine passes for 98 yards in the win. With his strong showing on Sunday, Bowers became the first tight end in NFL history with at least five catches and 50 yards in his first two career games. Bowers also has the most yards and receptions by a tight end in his first two career games in NFL history. 
Christopher Smith II, S – Saw action exclusively on special teams in the win, registering one tackle.
Roquan Smith, ILB – Started at linebacker for Baltimore, totaling 11 tackles and one pass defended in the loss.
Ben Cleveland, OG – Appeared exclusively on special teams for Baltimore while serving as a reserve offensive lineman.
Nick Moore, LS – Appeared on 10 special teams plays for the Ravens in the loss.

Cardinals 41, Rams 10
Matthew Stafford, QB – Started at quarterback for the Rams, completing 19 of his 27 passes for 216 yards in the loss.
Stetson Bennett IV, QB – Served as backup quarterback for Los Angeles.
Warren McClendon Jr., OT – Started at tackle for the Rams as they gained 245 yards.

George Pickens, WR – Started at wide receiver for the Steelers, catching two passes for 29 yards in the win.
Darnell Washington, TE – Played nearly 50 percent of snaps for the Pittsburgh offense, catching one pass for five yards and a touchdown. Washington's touchdown was the first of his NFL career.
Broderick Jones, OT – Served as a reserve offensive lineman for Pittsburgh, appearing on offense and special teams in a limited capacity in the win.

Mecole Hardman Jr., WR – Saw action as returner for the Chiefs, returning two punts for 13 yards in the win.
Malik Herring, DE – Appeared on six defensive snaps for Kansas City, recording no statistics.

Kamari Lassiter, CB – Started at cornerback for Houston, making four total tackles while catching his first career interception in the win.

Falcons 22, Eagles 21
Lorenzo Carter, OLB – Saw action on just over 50 percent of defensive snaps for Atlanta, recording no statistics.
Charlie Woerner, TE – Played 16 snaps on offense for the Falcons recording no statistics in the win.
