ATHENS - Surprise, surprise. Former Georgia Bulldog legend Brock Bowers is off to a record-setting start to his NFL career.

The two-time national champion and Mackey Award winner slipped all the way to Las Vegas at No.13 in April’s 2024 NFL Draft, and it’s safe to say the Raiders made the right pick. They drafted him with a smile, and now they have one of the league’s top young players making big plays to start the 2024 season.

The pass-catching machine from Napa, California is coming off a massive game over the weekend where he caught all nine targets for 98 yards in a big 26-23 win over the Ravens.

Through his first two NFL games, Bowers has hauled in 15 passes on 17 targets for 156 yards and three plays of 20+ yards. He’s on a historic pace for the Raiders and should continue to see plenty of passes come his way this season.

At Georgia, leading the Bulldogs to two consecutive national championships, Bowers left a legacy that will last forever. One of the greatest Bulldogs of all time, Bowers hauled in 175 passes for 2,538 yards and 26 total touchdowns during his incredible Georgia career.

Now, Bowers might do something similar in the NFL. He’s put the league on notice and is off to a tremendous start to his rookie season.
