ATHENS, Ga. – A total of 57 former Georgia Bulldogs are part of NFL organizations as teams finalized their initial 2024 roster and practice squad this week.

A total of 46 former Bulldogs made the final 53-man rosters across the league with an additional 11 former Bulldogs signed to practice squads or placed on injured reserve or the physically unable to perform list. These former Bulldogs will look to continue the current 23-year streak of at least one Georgia player being on a Super Bowl roster, which is tied for the longest active streak in college football.

The 2024-25 NFL season begins Thursday, Sept. 5 when the two-time defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs play host to the Baltimore Ravens.  Opening night will feature five former Bulldogs, including Roquan Smith, Mecole Hardman Jr., Ben Cleveland, Malik Herring and Nick Moore. Following opening night, nine Bulldogs will share the field in Sāo Paulo, Brazil on Friday, Sept. 6, in the first international game of the season between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers.

In addition to their success on the field former Bulldogs have established records at the NFL Draft, setting a record for most players drafted from one school (15) during the same draft in the modern era. Since 2020, Georgia also leads college football in draft picks with 49 players drafted and set the NFL record for most players drafted in a three-year span in the modern draft era with 34 players drafted between 2021-23.

Here’s a list of all former Bulldogs on NFL rosters, as well as the rules and guidelines for practice squad participants.
