UGA QB Carson Beck on Coach Prime's Complaint: "It’s a Video Game. Rate Me What You Want"
ATHENS - UGA Football’s Carson Beck and Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders are both listed as have a so-called rating of 93 in EA Sports College Football 25.
In other words the two are tied for the top spot on the video game - something that does not site well with Sanders’s father and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.
“I'm just trying to figure out how Shedeur can be tied with another person. How did that happen?” Sanders asked during Big 12 Media Days in Las Vegas earlier this month.
Beck’s response to the revelation was more muted: “It’s a video game. Rate me what you want,” Beck told Dawg Post. "I am just going to go do the real think in real life. I’m not too worried about video game.”

Beck and Sanders are considered two of the top NFL prospects for the 2025 NFL Draft. Colorado was 4-8, but Sanders was exceptional statistically. He ended his first season in Boulder with 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns while completing 298 of 430 throws. Sanders only had three interceptions.
Beck finished 2023 by guiding the Bulldogs to a No. 4 final ranking. That happened after he threw for 3,941 yards and 24 touchdowns. He completed 302 of his 417 attempts. Beck tossed six picks in 2023.
The elder Sanders said he prefers playing on turf rather than on the screen.
"I am not a video game guy. I love video games, but I'm a real game guy,” the coach said.
Beck agreed with Sanders, telling Dawg Post that he prefers “real life” football. Still, the UGA signal caller noted that he had not yet played the game as of last week, but that his UGA teammates were flooding his phone with their highlights from the game.
“All of our teammates were sending videos in the group chat,” Beck said - noting that he couldn’t join in on the excitement of the new release because he was traveling to media days when it came out.
