UGA Football RB Trevor Etienne Arrested On Driving Charges

ATHENS - Georgia football running back Trevor Etienne was been arrested on DUI and reckless driving charges early Sunday morning.

Etienne, from Jennings, Louisiana, was released at 5:27 a.m. on bonds totaling $1,883 according to a report from the Athens Banner-Herald’s Marc Weiszer.

“The Florida transfer was booked into the Clarke County Jail at 4:35 a.m. after Athens-Clarke County Police charged him with four misdemeanors.”

“Etienne was charged with DUI alcohol less safe, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane/improper driving on road and affixing materials that reduce the visibility of windows/windshield.”

Etienne was expected to be Georgia’s leading rusher in the 2024 season after transferring in from Florida. The experienced SEC back rushed for 753 yards for the Gators last season along with 8 touchdowns. Look for him to miss Georgia’s 2024 season opener against the Clemson Tigers in Atlanta.
