ATLANTA - The high school football season is coming to an end, and the GHSA state championship games will be played Monday-Wednesday inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Which players and games do Georgia Bulldog fans need to keep an eye on?
Swainsboro vs. Prince Avenue Christian - 12/11 at 4:00 PM
In the Class A Division I state title game, 4-star Georgia commit Demello Jones and his Swainsboro team will take on Georgia Tech QB commit Aaron Philo and a strong Prince Avenue Christian team.
Jones, one of the top overall athletes in Georgia, is committed to the Bulldogs as a defensive back, but he’ll play all over the place for the Tigers in his final high school game. This fall as a senior, Jones carried the ball 129 times on offense for 1,160 yards and 10 touchdowns. Defensively, the 6-foot-1 180-pounder made 32 tackles, one INT and two forced fumbles. He’s ranked as the No. 8 CB prospect and the No. 63 overall prospect in the country for the 2024 class.
Manchester vs. Bowdon - 12/11 at 7:00 PM
In the Class A Division II championship game on Monday night, 2025 Georgia DL commitment Justus Terry will lead his 11-2 Blue Devil team against a strong Bowdon group that’s full of talent. Terry, one of the top 2025 DL prospects across the country, has had a dominant junior season this fall where he’s made 78 tackles, 6 TFLs and 13 sacks along with two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He’s ranked as the No.2 DL prospect and the No. 9 overall prospect in the country for the 2025 class.

Cedar Grove vs. Savannah Christian - 12/13 at 1:00 PM
In one of the more intriguing games during championship week, 2025 Georgia running back commitment Bo Walker will lead the Saints against an incredibly talented Savannah Christian squad in the 3A state title game on Wednesday afternoon.
A tough, compact size who brings a physical running style at 5-foot-8 190-pounds, Walker is a tackle-breaking back who can take off down the field when given some space to run. He’s had an outstanding career so far and is hoping to finish off a tremendous junior season with a championship. He’s ranked as the No. 40 RB prospect and the No. 48 overall prospect in Georgia for the 2025 class.
At Savannah Christian, the big name is 2025 5-star DL Elijah Griffin. A dominant defender who is very high on Georgia’s board, Griffin brings plenty of size at production at 6-foot-4 270-pounds. The Savannah native has made 97 tackles, 31 TFLs, and 17.5 sacks. He’s ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect in the country for the 2025 class.
Stockbridge vs Perry - 12/12 at 4:00 PM
At Perry, the player to watch is quarterback, Colter Ginn. The big 6-foot-4 200-pounder owns a PWO offer from the Bulldogs after a big senior season. The 2022 region 2AAA Offensive Player of year last year has thrown for just under 2,200 yards and 15 touchdowns this season. He’ll look to bring Perry home with their first ever state championship, and they would do it in the 4A class.
Walton vs. Milton - 12/13 at 7:00 PM
This biggest game on the biggest stage. Both powerful 7A teams are loaded with talent, but the big Bulldog commitment in this one is 4-star Daniel Calhoun. The massive Walton Raider tackle has punished just about every defender lined up against him this season. He’s big, physical, and has been a pancake machine all season long. He’s one of the very best offensive line prospects in the country and he’s proved it week by week this year.
At Milton, the player to watch is 2025 wide receiver CJ Wiley. The big, sure-handed wideout is firmly on Georgia’s radar in that class and has hauled in 64 passes this season for 1,428 yards and 14 touchdowns.
